5pm - 7pm Holiday Party! We're having a fish-themed "White Elephant" party and some food. If you're unfamiliar with "White Elephant" parties and would like to participate in this part of the get-together (it's optional by all means)...this is how it goes....You wrap up something that you've either bought or had already at home (and for our purposes it needs to be fish-themed). You bring it to the party and get a number given to you in exchange for the gift you brought. All the gifts are set up on a table and number start to get drawn. When the first number is drawn, the chosen person picks a gift and opens it. The next person whose number is drawn then has the choice of taking the first person's gift or picking a new, wrapped present...and so on and so on. So, in effect, the last person whose number is drawn has the best time, choosing between the one remaining wrapped present or from any of the previously owned presents. You get to bring whatever you like as the gift, as long as it's wrapped and fish-themed. Could be wacky like fish slippers, ceramic fish, etc., or something even like a pair of real fish, or food, etc. Again, that part of the get-together is entirely optional. We'll be ordering pizza, and some people will also be bringing "pot luck" dishes. So you plan on coming, please RSVP Wendy McKenna no later than Friday afternoon.
