Meeting held at Gourmet Burritos
Concord, CA
| Minutes of the Meeting | |
| 2:00pm - 2:15pm |
| 2:15pm - 2:45pm | Meeting Called to order for Topic "Buying and Selling Fish on the Web " |
| 2:45pm - 3:30pm | Meeting migrated to unscheduled topics of much interest: "Setting up the tank for breeding" and "Live foods for baby bettas" |
- A constant water temperature and air temperature are important for the development of the young fish. The baby fish are breathing the air at the top of the water from a very young age, and they need warm, moist air so not to shock their systems and die. (i.e. the importance of a lid covering the tank) - The use of live food is the best first start for the brood. The use of "liquafry" was not in favor by those members present. Recommended were baby brine shrimp and microworms (with vinager eels also getting a plug). -Mircoworms culturing and maintenance: Passed out new cultures and recommended following Rhonni's Microworm Culture instructions. |
