Meeting Schedule 2010Meetings are on the 4th Saturday of each month. They begin at 1:00p.m. and end by 4:00 p.m. Visiting and auction sign-in are from 1:00 to 2:00. The meeting program begins at 2:00p.m. The auction and raffle begin at 3:00p.m. If you have a suggestion for a meeting idea or location, please contact our Vice President. We are always interested in suggestions! 7/24/10 - July Meeting and Summer Picnic Location: Fenestra Winery 83 Vallecitos Road, Livermore, CA 94550 Topic: Betta Barracks by Nelson Snook Wine tasting is optional. Come an hour early (around noon) if you intend to enjoy the wine tasting. There is a $5 charge for tasting, refunded with any wine purchase. Please bring a snack to share for our potluck picnic lunch. Meeting is held behind the tasting room, outside at the picnic tables. 8/21/10 - IBC International Show Location: Walnut Creek Marriott, 2355 North Main Street, Walnut Creek, CA 94596 CBS is holding an IBC show in August. There will be hundreds of bettas from around the country on display. We will also have the usual auction and raffle after the show. Show room opens to the public at noon on Saturday, and the auction will begin at 4pm and will run several hours. Location: TBA This is our holiday party potluck dinner. Please bring a dish to share with the group. We also do a "White Betta" gift exchange (see White Elephant gift exchange for info). Please bring a wrapped, inexpensive fish themed gift to participate. |
